Overall it took over a week to lay flat and about two weeks for any bumps to dissipate. I was tempted to return it but considered sending it back in that wrapper box. and it's so beautifully relaxing every day when I walk on it and need it, turn it over and squeeze and crush it until I can finally put it on the bed to sleep. The first few nights it was like sleeping in a sand trap. but in the end everything swelled up and now i'm lying in the carpet like a bug. Happy end.
