I was a little skeptical about buying these but when I received them I felt their quality right out of the box. Great soft leather, the foam is not too hard but not too plump either. This is the first time I've bought an open thumb glove and I'll say I'm happy with what I got. I am an amateur kickboxer and have changed 5 gloves so far. These are my favorites because I can train my fists and throw powerful punches as well. The cuff ties right on my wrist so I have more wrist support over the brace. If you are looking for a glove to just hit the pocket and pads then this is the one for you. If you're thinking about sparring in them, I wouldn't consider it. Sparring with this glove only severely harms your sparring partner. We train to prepare our minds and bodies, not to hurt each other. I only give this one an 8/10 because it's not a very good glove. When I mean we round up I mean pocketwork/pawwork/sparring. These are great gloves for the price and Fairtex isn't far behind in terms of quality. I'll end by saying that I will buy more flowers for my son and I in the future.
