Go a different way. for USB port cards

Didn't work. Adafruit is my vendor that I go to, but their support in this regard has been poor. It must be a great device but no one is helping to make it work. Will continue to buy my Arduino stuff from them but won't be buying this again.

Pros
 •
Brand new and better than ever, we've replaced our Adafruit GPS Shield Kit with this assembled shield that comes with the Ultimate GPS Module. This GPS shield works great with UNO or Leonardo Arduinos and is designed to write data to an SD card. Or you can leave the SD card and use GPS for a geocaching project, or maybe a music player that changes tune depending on where you are in town.

Sensitivity -165 dBm, 10 Hz refresh rate, 66 channels
Low power module - only 20 mA current consumption, half that of most GPS. Removable slot for datalogging RTC battery included, up to 7 years backup Built-in datalogging to flash memory PPS output when locked Internal patch antenna + u.FL connector for external active antenna Power supply, pin #13 and LED commit -Conditions Large scale prototyping

Each order comes with an assembled and tested shield, 0.1" connector shank and 12mm flat cell. Light soldering is required to attach the connector to the shield to connect to the Arduino. If you want to flip the shield up, don't forget to grab a set of stacking connectors to use in place of a microSD card, but it's available at the store!

If your project is in a case, you will love this screen as it supports an external antenna. Simply connect an external active GPS antenna to the screen using a uFL/SMA cable and the device will automatically switch to using the antenna. Then you can place the antenna anywhere.
