This was my first attempt at dyeing and was dyed with two pairs of 85% nylon/15% spandex compression leggings that were already dark. Before purchasing I didn't read enough about how much paint I would need and figured that one bottle wouldn't be enough. However, the dry weight of the fabric was 11.4 ounces, so the 1/2 ounce bottle of paint contained 4% to 4.5%, which is recommended. I followed the directions exactly, using a thermometer to maintain the required temperature of 185-200 degrees. I was concerned at first when I saw that the dye was dark purple, but towards the end of the process it turned completely black. The end result was that my leggings,
