The spikes drill holes in 3 mm increments. But the fit and finish are random for every detail. From rough to very rough. They're a bit polished, but you'll need to do some extra work to make them work better. The material appears to be fairly durable steel. The edges and tips are quite sharp.

It's ok, especially considering they're cheap, but they're not polished at all. Right out of the box, the 6 pen wouldn't go through my favorite 5 ounce leather. After a little buffing the chisels will go through 2 layers of leather but they will stick, stretch and stretch. Even more work.

I thought I'd put a single prong punch in a press to hand sew holes in leather. Instead I used a drill press. The round handle fits perfectly in the drill chuck, and the drill has enough power to pierce wet leather. My drill press even has a good light to make it easy to see the marks on where the holes should go. I am very satisfied with the product and the result.

The material appears to be durable and should last a long time with proper use. They are a lot smaller than I thought, total length is 4 inches (10 cm). I have medium sized hands and feel like I'm holding on to them to effectively prepare for a shot. I've used single hole punches in the past but I didn't even have enough spacing between them to provide them, but they don't clear material all the way back like a hole punch and therefore require constant awling work while sewing to open up a path

These punctures might be good for beginners, but not that good. They are difficult to pierce through thin (3 ounce) leather, make rough, messy looking holes, and are difficult to pull out of the leather once it has been pierced since the inside of the teeth is not polished.
