Not suitable for furniture with metal legs

Yes, they are easy to put on, if you order the correct size and yes they remain on and in place (on my chairs). However, if you have chairs, tables, furniture with metal legs and you use these items daily (especially chairs), the metal will cut through the cap. The photos were taken after just one week of the caps being put on the chairs. So, to hopefully remedy this, I placed metal washers inside the caps (new) and then replaced them on the chair. We will see next week if this "fixes" the problem. Oh, and if you have cats/dogs, they do collect fur/hair/dust. Update, 1 week later: washers DID NOT fix problem; the last photo is a new cap with a washer; as you can see, it tears through the silicone cap just as easily. I DO NOT recommend for metal legs (chairs/furniture) that are used daily/regularly, unless you have the money to replace them on a weekly basis, which is NOT practical. So, I have come to the conclusion that these caps are only suitable for furniture that is NOT used on a daily basis AND NOT suitable if the person/piece of furniture weighs more than 250 lbs. The legs which the caps have been placed will very quickly (within 2 weeks or less, (depending on frequency of use) "wear" through the silicone. If you just want something on the legs of furniture that isn't used/moved very often, then these are perfect. If you use/move your item on a daily basis, invest in good quality felt (100% wool) padding (not cheap, but lasts).
