Review on Giottos CL1310 Goat 🐐 Hair Brush with Retractable 2-Position Design by Ahmed Rowe

Looks good and does a good job

This goat hair brush has very high quality bristles. When I first looked at this brush I noticed that the bristles are very clean cut and nicely rounded with very few bristles being out of place. The bristles feel comfortable when you stroke their tip with your fingertip. This is probably the best quality brush I have ever bought. It seems solid enough and looks like something that should last a long time. The bristles are mounted on a spring-loaded device inside the handle that allows the bristles to be fully or partially retracted. There is a button on the body that you can press and slide back or forth with your thumb to lengthen or retract the stubble. The button moves back and forth in the slot. The slot has three rounded and widened holes. There is a hole at the very front of the slot and the button locks into place when you push the bristles all the way forward and then release the button. The other slot is fully in the slot and the bristles are fully retracted and locked when you pull the knob all the way to that position and release. A little before the center of the groove is another hole or extension. This locks the bristles in a partially extended position. What I have noticed is that placing the bristles in this middle position makes them less long or shorter and therefore stiffer. I don't know what the button is made of, but it's a black material that looks like it's some kind of hard plastic. The button appears to be connected to a metal spring at the bottom. I can't be sure if the underlying spring is metal, but its resistance and resilience feels like springy metal. Overall I would recommend buying this brush.
