One star cost it the fact that, as others have pointed out, there's nothing covering the hole in the top of the case protecting the end of the brush when not in use. The brush itself is excellent. Very soft. But a few things about it: Some of the hair started falling out immediately. Maybe they just fell apart from the factory, I don't know, but be very careful because they can get into your camera body, get stuck in a crack or something. Sharp metal edges at the front end (towards the brush). This goat hair brush has very high quality bristles. When I first looked at this brush I noticed that the bristles are very clean cut and nicely rounded with very few bristles being out of place. The bristles feel comfortable when you stroke their tip with your fingertip. This is probably the best quality brush I have ever bought.
