Okay, the braid should be lighter and longer.

It is quite heavy and looks well made. I wish it was about twice as bright. I also wish the braid that comes out of the device was longer. The overall length of the cable is ok. Simply move the connector away from the drain plug. At the moment the connection is too close to standing water in the bilge. Just lengthen the pigtail and make the wire shorter. No change in production costs.
