exceptional quality for a plastic mug - buy with confidence

I've been trying to replace some cheap versions of those clear mugs I bought at WalMart a few years ago. The double wall construction collapsed and I was left with two panes - an outer and an inner. I live on a rock in the middle of the ocean so it was important to me to have glasses that didn't "sweat" like regular glasses do. did the research. I read descriptions of other products. I read the reviews. I see other buyers either loved them or hated the Tervis brand. One even stated that they were cheap and broke almost immediately. It might have been a different size, but it was the Tervis brand. So, like many other purchases I've made in the past, I chose quality over low price. At first I bought two because I figured if I didn't like them there wouldn't be a full set of 6 glasses that I needed. I received the glasses and they are exactly what I expected. Thick plastic, heavier than my originals, well packaged. I bought two more after seeing the first two and bought the remaining two today for my needed set of six. But how will they work? Simply good. They only had an outer sweat once - when it was raining and my house was 90% humidity. I can't blame the glass for that. If you can't hold a hard, heavy object, this isn't for you. Fill them with liquid and/or ice and they get heavier. But they are quality. If they break, according to advertising and the company statement, they must be replaced for life. On the other hand, if one breaks, you don't lose the state. My only caveat would be this: I believe my cheaper versions had the double wall construction broken due to MY actions. I used to press the top edge of the glass against the ice dispenser on the front of the fridge. I believe the pressure caused the seal to rupture, resulting in a brown stain in both walls (I drink a lot of iced tea). In the end, the seal broke completely. So, with VERY LITTLE EFFORT, I learned to just put my index finger over the rim of the glass and use my finger to pull the trigger on the ice dispenser. So the pressure is on my finger and not on the edge of the glass. DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP VERSIONS of this product if you are looking for high quality. Learn your lesson folks. You have all done this in the past and regretted your choice. So buy quality - you won't regret it. And quality doesn't come cheap. It comes at a moderate price. Industrial fair.
