I had a great 35ft Stanley FatMax and used it for over 10 years. Never had a problem with it. It eventually broke when the tape got stuck in a piece of Unistrut and broke when I pulled it out. So I decided to order a new one. The new FatMax is cheap junk. I've been using it for a few months. A tape measure is thinner metal that cuts your hand, doesn't stay straight when you try to measure vertically, creases very easily, and constantly snags and doesn't snap. I would go back, but it's outside the window. Supposedly it has a lifetime warranty but now the tape has creases and creases so I doubt they will respect it as it is considered user damage. Buy a Milwaukee instead.
