That's right, the metal mount for it isn't specifically designed for your computer. Some modifications required. However, it's one of the best slot coolers out there, which is why it's sold so often at Revain. In the end I just cut the bottom metal tab off with metal snips and secured it with two screws so I could slide it away from the GPU and give the 3090 some breathing room. Also, I just used my GPU stand to mount the fan as it needs to have some kind of stand against the mounting side of the bracket. This adds that extra RGB accent I need without being too bright. It also helps keep the main GPU fans running at their maximum speed. Which, as we all know, can be pretty teary. I would say there could be a 10-20% drop in the main GPU fans? Technical testing has not been done, but that's my guess.
