Impressions (see uploaded photos); My first impression when I received the product was that the package looked Chinese (pretty cheap) but well packaged. After opening, the items were well packed inside; Each pedal was surrounded by thick, sealed plastic, with protective film covering the rust-free parts. And the items in the box were surrounded by a decent amount of foam board. About the items: The quality of the product is really impressive by Chinese standards: - DEAD PEDAL: Contrary to other reviews on this product, the plastic by no means felt or looked cheap. The brushed stainless steel plate is the same thickness as the original Volkswagen/Audi product, the brushed finish is the original specification. The anti-slip rubber is also of very good quality. Compared to the original GLI pedal from side to side: you get the same quality, the visual difference is just a slight difference in the pigmentation of the plastic, not noticeable with a simple look. - BRAKE PEDAL: stainless steel plate with the same thickness as the original pedal. The piece of rubber is by no means cheap: real original quality. Lateral comparison with the original pedal: Both the quality of the stainless steel plate and the pigmentation of the rubber hardly differ. The brushed stainless steel finish is a little more refined on the original part on the sides of the stainless steel plate, but the finish of the pedal is true to the original specification of the item purchased. ACCELERATOR PEDAL: Unlike the original part, this is just the front, which means you put it on top of your real plastic pedal (wash and degrease thoroughly before installation). That's great news because you don't have to replace the entire gas pedal system. The original part is a complete pedal assembly as VW/AUDI vehicles use an electronic throttle which costs about $150 as an original part. The brushed stainless steel plate is exactly the same thickness as the original part. The piece of rubber is of real technical quality and the color of the pigment is the same. The matte finish is a real spec, as is the rubber piece. When comparing between the parties, there is no difference after installation. The overall quality is impressive for the Chinese. My guess: they probably make original parts for the Chinese VW market. I will update some photos after installation and do an honest review with updated pictures of the final product every 6 months. Please note that this article applies to MK6 Jetta sedan models regardless of trim level, they must fit all S, SE, SportLine, SEL/PREMIUM and GLI models.
