Review on General Finishes Water Based Gallon by Joshua Vogel

We bought this paint to use as a protective sealer over face chalk paint. We wanted to keep the same matte finish that chalk paint has. We originally used a polyurethane with a matte Minwax finish, but it gave significantly more gloss than the chalk paint and was slightly different in color as well. When I tried this product on a test board painted with chalk paint, my wife and I were very surprised as it retains the haze of the chalk paint and does not darken the color of the paint. Easy to apply and easy to clean with application tools. I can swear on the durability as I just installed it on a dresser. If you are looking for a truly matte finish then this product is for you. It's expensive but seems worth it.
