This is my second swim cap of this style with a chin strap. The first one broke after about 10 uses and I swam my laps without a chin strap. Everything was fine, but water started seeping in. The bracelet is partly made of plastic and does not last long even with careful handling. It is not easy to shorten the strap, but no further adjustment is required after that. I cut off any extra ribbons. I really like this swim cap, it's roomy, doesn't cause headaches. I also dye my hair so waterproofing is important. If this one breaks, I'll order another one.
