I don't know what others were expecting when they ordered a $20 dress from Revain, but it's not a pageant dress or a girl's dress. Who knew this needed to be said... Here, manage your expectations a little. I bought this latest Halloween for my 2 year old to wear to a Halloween/birthday party. It was absolutely amazing! She wanted to be a witch, so I also got her a small witch hat band and a small witch broom (both also from Revain). It turned out perfect. The bodice is very stretchy and the straps can be tied in different ways depending on your preference. It's short, but it's a tutu dress and doesn't usually reach the knee or ankle. My two years / I wore it with black bloomers. I had leggings I wanted to put on her, but on Halloween where we live it's 90 degrees so we skipped them. I also didn't think my child looked like a prostitute. I can't understand looking at any child and thinking of a "prostitute" no matter how dressed. But I don't sexualize children. That's all. My 4-5 year old boy is planning to wear this dress as a black swan this Halloween. She's a lot taller than her little sister when she wore it last year, but we've already tried it on and it fits her well. Obviously there's a bit of a lack of common sense these days, so I'll add if you feel like it's too short to be comfortable, then tuck the kid in damn biker shorts or leggings or whatever. I wouldn't recommend fishnet stockings unless of course you're going to look more "prostitute" you know? Also, the top can snag a bit, so be aware of that. I can see that at least one of my girls will be fond of it for years to come and there are plenty of costume ideas that would go well with it. witch, black swan, vampire etc. Or something less "spooky" like a ballerina, black cat, bat etc. I've also seen this dress with raccoon and skunk costumes which are only 10/10 absolutely adorable. rzunimag. Just add a few small accessories and the options are endless. Overall I was very happy with this purchase and my daughters enjoyed wearing it so I would definitely recommend it if it suits your needs.
