Red Heart Super Saver is known as a coarse, scratchy yarn. It is also known for its economy, extreme durability, ease of use and consistent color reliability across different skeins of the same color but different batches of dye. The more you wash with fabric softener, the softer it gets. I'm working on a duvet for my grandson to replace the one I made for him 17 years ago to celebrate moving into his king bed. It is still in good condition, just painted. Now it's a dog blanket. It's getting hard to justify spending close to $100 to create a checkered queen/king.
