I ate my old favorite spam. And I found out that the cut can be of different thicknesses. I saw this item and for the price I got it and I'm glad I did. The cuts are even and easy to manage. There is some slippage when you press down, but that's not a problem once you get used to it. I was even able to dice and slice the meat for different purposes. Use the top rack in the dishwasher and you won't have any rusting problems as it's made of stainless steel and the bottom is plastic. Also suitable for hard-boiled eggs and soft cheese. Not so good with tougher cuts of meat or hard cheeses.
