I change the filter about every 30-60 days depending on the season so that's a lot. My HVAC company said it was the best value because MERV8 (clearly marked as MERV8 on the box) doesn't put undue stress on my engine and is cheap enough to replace every month or so. Each filter is individually wrapped and shipped in its original sturdy packaging. My HVAC company also built a metal mesh into the filter holder because like others I have found that the cardboard filter frame bends and loses its shape over time. The metal mesh keeps them securely in place.
