I purchased two of these hats for my 2 granddaughters, ages 4 and 7, to use at the beach for sun-protection. The brim protected their face, eyes, ears and neck. The pony-tail opening works perfectly for their long hair. The hat is comfortable and functional. The sizing was as expected; the fit was perfect for our 4 year old; however, the brim was a little on the small side for our 7 year old, so it won't work for her next year. Worth the money for use at the beach this summer!
