Review on 🐱 Adjustable Safety Cat Collar with Breakaway Buckle, Velvet Rhinestone Diamonds and Bell Bowtie - 2 Pack (Pink & Black) by Ryan Frazier

These breakaway cat collars met my expectations, albeit with a few modifications. The pancake-shaped cat ear closure worked well, but the tips of the ears felt too piercing and actually felt slightly painful when touched. At the risk of making the kittens uncomfortable, I lightly filed the tips of the ears with sandpaper. That being said, the velvet collar tape appears to be of good quality and the workmanship appears to be reasonably well constructed and durable (I guess time will tell). I took off the bow tie on one of them, which is what I wanted to do when I bought it. This process wasn't too difficult; The bow tie is glued to the collar with a strong glue. I used wire cutters and by carefully maneuvering the cutter I was able to completely remove the ribbon of the bow tie leaving only a little bit of glue on the collar that needed to be removed - the sticky goo was gone. Everything worked out there. Remember flies are glued in place and don't move, however the collar is fully adjustable. Essentially, this means that you cannot adjust the position of the bow tie in relation to the locking mechanism, D-ring, etc. I don't see this as a problem. The breakaway clasp has a very strong/secure feel when attached. , and it comes off with seemingly reasonable force if the collar snags on something. have a little more sophistication than a nylon collar, with an added bow embellishment. I bought these thinking flies would be easy to remove. They weren't; as said, they are glued in place, but with careful use of small scissors or wire cutters loops (as well as a bell) can be removed. For a collar they have a good mix of durability, safety, aesthetics and quality - IMO.
