I bought this rug for a purpose other than under a rug. I recently bought a sofa bed with pillows. The cushions slid everywhere when you sat down, got up or there was a bit of strong wind. I cut this rug and put a piece under each pillow. Kept the pillows in place, instead of making the pit look like a mess, the pillows stayed where they were put and look better. I also used this pad to put under my platform bed mattress. Because the mattress is on a solid base, it slides, and with a mat between the base and the mattress, it no longer slides. I would buy again.
