I've been knitting for a VERY long time - long before knitting became a common art - long before knitting became fashionable again. I have tried all types of knitting needles - THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SPLIT FOR ANY YARN! They are very smooth and allow the yarn to slide easily, but have just enough "texture" to keep the stitches from slipping off the hook. When I took the cable out of the box, my jaw dropped as it relaxed and assumed a smooth "U" shape - the same shape you get when you soak "regular" cables in hot water need to soak to loosen them! I definitely plan on getting the whole set!
