Review on πŸ” Fintie Keyboard Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016 NO S Pen Version) - Slim Lightweight Stand Cover with Detachable Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard by Monica Woods

Great case with three annoying flaws

First off, let me say that this little keyboard case is great overall. I work in tech and this case paired with the Galaxy Tab A has replaced my laptop for everything but heavy computing tasks like running virtual machines. The physical keyboard is perfect for taking notes in meetings, emails, and Slack. The keyboard works fine with Termux as well, although the decision to put the home button where the escape should be is annoying when using vim (note - CTRL + [ sends escape) which is the first annoying thing about this keyboard is. Annoyingly, the keyboard doesn't send a spacebar when the spacebar is pressed when the Shift key is pressed. I'm typing pretty fast even on the small keys on this keyboard, so maybe I'm just typing faster than the keyboard is sending keycodes, but it's still annoying having to correct missing spaces in typed text. The third annoying point is that the function key is where CTRL should be and they can't be swapped. Attention all keyboard manufacturers - please stop this. The control key should be the bottom left key on any keyboard. Muscle memory is a real thing, and having a control in a strange place makes operations that use that key annoying. Those three issues aside, this is a great case/keyboard. The magnetic cover holds the keyboard securely in place, allowing you to tilt your tablet to different angles. The keys are small, but they're spaced enough apart to make typing comfortable for long periods of time, even for someone with larger-than-average hands like mine. Four stars because it's not perfect, but still pretty good. UPDATE: The fix for the missing ESC and CTRL keys in the wrong place is fixed by replacing the keyboard that this case comes with. This keyboard is the same size and body, but the ESC and CTRL/FN keys are where they should be. And it has a seven-color backlight, which is beautiful in the dark. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00X5P8BJO/ Note that the linked keyboard also doesn't send a space when the Shift key is pressed.
