Initial review January 12, 2021 What is included. 5 flash drives of 16 GB each in their own color. Plus 5X straps in the same color as the rims. The only identification on the panes is the name Samke. There is no indication of the amount of storage on the drives. If one of these USB sticks is connected to the USB socket, the USB stick lights up red. This indicator flashes when the drive is transferring data. The first thing I want to know about flash drives or SD cards when I buy them is whether they fit the promised size. There have been many instances where a storage device would indicate that it had a certain amount of storage when in fact it had significantly less. The first clue is that when I plug these drives into a USB 3.0 port on my desktop, Explorer reports them as 16GB drives with 14.9GB of storage. This is a good sign, but it is not reliable. Then I ran CrystalDiskMark which shows the read/write speeds. I posted the results in the attached photo. These drives aren't very fast, but I'm not in the business, so ripping speed isn't that important. If you need fast flash drives, this isn't for you. USB 2.0 gives a slower DiskMark result, while USB 3.0 gives a slightly faster result. When I plugged in one of the drives, Windows 10 told me it needed to be scanned and repaired. I did that and after that everything seemed fine. I then copied about 9GB of data onto a flash drive. If the disk size is smaller than the specified size, the data will not be copied to the disk correctly. The copying process took a long time, but it worked. i like colors This allows me to store data of a certain type on disk and quickly identify it simply by color. The very low price makes these discs a bargain. It seems that every time I give a flash drive to a friend so I can give him some data (usually photos) they never return the flash drive. They're only a little over $2 each, so I don't mind if they keep them. I recommend these flash drives.
