Review on Leviton 47603-DP6: Compact Combo Bridged Phone & πŸ”Œ Data Board with 6-Way Video Splitter - Ultimate Connectivity Solution by Steve Hauck

Tired of tangled cables? It's an all-in-one panel

You can use this panel just like that without having to buy a mounting box; Simply remove the four plastic plugs and use the screw holes. Since this is a triple device, let's talk about each one, starting with the 1000MHz coaxial video splitter. I used to have 2-way and 3-way video splitters that let you take a coax connection and split it into 6. Sometimes you need to split a line closer to the end connection, but if you have any type of central station wiring, this will help you avoid lots of loose splinters. In addition, the phone splitter has an 8-port terminal block, which is sufficient for two standard telephone lines with two separate telephone lines each for four separate telephone numbers. (Two wires have two phone lines, so four in total). This is especially handy since they include a standard punch tool. Finally, the Cat5e ethernet connector is for those who want to run a raw cable to this junction box and connect it to another device such as a modem, router, splitter, etc. and want to get a male ethernet connection instead of a bare wire. With it you can convert 4 separate Cat5e cables into 5 Ethernet jacks. Again, you can use an industry standard punch tool to connect a multi-wire Cat5e cable and have a neat terminal block for connecting up to 4 ethernet wires. It's hard to find anything wrong with a device like this. This is a simple compact video, phone and ethernet panel. Highly recommended if you want to tidy up central wiring.

Pros
  • Great for me
