Review on Garmin eTrex 10 Navigator by Stanislaw Szczesny ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

Reliable model with a modern, highly sensitive GPS signal receiver. With its pros: - The quality of reception is an order of magnitude higher than that of previous models. Takes even sometimes in a room away from windows. And in the forest - he always takes it, even when under clothes (GPS + GLONASS setting). Thanks to the efforts of Alexei Grachev, now you can upload the necessary cards to it (see discussions ? modelid=7800733&hid=294661) - Easy to exchange withcomputer via USB port. It is mostcomnvenient to work in the native BaseCamp program (. Php). But it's not required at all. No drivers needed - sees the navigator as an external drive. Youcompy or upload GPX files to the device and work without problems with tracks and points in OZI, Google Eath and similar programs. - Economy. Batteries last for a day with a margin. - Pretty big memory. - Manycomordinate grid settings, there is also the General Staff Pulkovo 42. It is verycomnvenient to work with this setting if you have General Staff maps - thecomordinatescomincide with the kilometer grid plotted on the map. (In OZI, you can apply such a grid to any map) Got cons: I didn't like the protruding joystick button either - it is pressed spontaneously, however, the result is not fatal - waypoints are added along the route, which is sometimes even useful. Low resolution black and white display (although in terms of power consumption, this is a plus)
