This thing couldn't find any of my studs, even the ones I knew exactly where they were. I've tried all the depth options available on the spike finder. I even opened the outlet and could physically see that the drywall was 1/2 inch thick and was right next to the counter. This rod finder just walked past each rod and never gave me an accurate reading. Sometimes he claimed to have found the rod. When I was sure that it didn't exist, luckily I didn't drill there. I also checked with two old spike finders, one of which was over 10 years old, and they found the exact same spikes I was looking for with this. I walked several walls with him and he never found the exact location of the studs. I will try to attach a video to this review so you can see it in action. In the video I show my results and also use another stud finder to make sure the studs are in place. The wall I did this demo on is the wall I already installed the TV mount on by driving 2 studs with 4 screws. I also opened up the wall from the camera and checked where the studs were and this stud finder couldn't find the studs. I already gave him up to get him back.
