This started out working great, finding spikes and giving lots of 'alerts' when you approached spikes. I then worked on adding an outlet for a wall mounted flat screen TV and had consistently positive results for a wall fire break. I tested it 10 times on different spots on the wall because I didn't feel like opening the wall to get through the firebreak. This thing couldn't find any of my studs, even the ones I knew exactly where they were. I've tried all the depth options available on the spike finder. I even opened the outlet and could physically see that the drywall was 1/2 inch thick and was right next to the counter.
