Bought this specifically for auto work and electronics repairs at work; Basically, I use Spotlight. The product description is pretty accurate, here are my additional comments: What I like: This headlamp is comfortable, more comfortable than others I've bought which are too small and get uncomfortable quickly (I have an average head size). It's easy too. I like the battery indicator on the side, this is a big plus as my old LED headband often died while using it. The buttons are easy to reach and useful. I had another, more expensive (Black Diamond?) REI headlamp with a couple of buttons I could never figure out, so out of frustration I donated it; I hated that light and it worked for 3xAAA which didn't last very long. The on/off wave is fine, although I didn't find the sensitivity ideal for the close-up work I was doing. It's a handy feature though, when I'm working on my car, for example, if it's very oily and my wife comes in, I can wave my hand to turn it off instead of blinding her. as it met my needs as it is a small lightweight candy bar with a built in battery. Room for improvement, in order of preference: I'd like the light block to rotate down one position more. The product description says 45 degrees, I think it's 30 degrees. Anyway, that's not enough for my needs. I think I'll try using my dremel to sand down the part of the forehead where the light hits it on a full down rotation to see if I can get another click. I wish I could click and hold to turn it off instead of having to click through all the modes. Or an adjustable dimmer, like many other lights, where you hold down a button and the brightness increases or decreases at a child's resolution. I personally don't need flashing or red lights, although I understand some people might like them. The spotlight is too focused for my taste, I would make it a bit wider. glad i bought them
