This lens seemed to have it all - good build quality, aperture, great price and very few alternatives with the same focal length that cost more than 3 times the price (e.g. Sony Zeiss 24mm f/1.8) or mediocre (Rokinon 24mm f/2.8). I don't even mind the slight incompatibility with the a6000 - worth mentioning as none of the Revain reviews mention it: to switch between manual aperture priority (using the aperture ring) and auto mode, the camera must be powered off. , rotate the auto mode ring to "Aβ, reattach the lens and turn the camera on again. You can switch between auto and manual aperture with the camera on and just use the dial on your camera, but if you want to use this nifty ring you'll need to follow the steps above. I don't care anyway because I knew about it before I bought the lens. The biggest issue for me is that the autofocus drops out a few times (see I'm shooting in either AF-S or AF-C mode depending on the subject and make sure it's locked when the focus indicators in the viewfinder turn green. In In the first two photos, the subject didn't even move, so I'm really confused as to what happened there.I was shooting in bright sunlight at f/8-f/10, so the aperture wasn't an issue either.I also downloaded a firmware update so I'm running out of ideas for now all this to say that I haven't given up on this lens yet but I'm starting to lose confidence in it as sometimes I don't notice that The Shot is blurry Most of the time I've taken very sharp photos with great colors, but it's hard to trust a lens that randomly produces unusable blurry photos from time to time.
