I bought this crate for my active corgi pup after he struggled through the crate's metal grid. I needed a way to contain him and keep him from destroying the house. This kennel arrived with a small hole in the top back edge as if it had hit something during production or packaging. The packaging was fine and I don't think it happened during shipping, especially since the missing part was not in the box. The defect did not affect the structural integrity of the product and was a cosmetic defect only. The drawer snaps securely in place and there is a small opening at the top edge of the entryway that allows you to insert zip ties for added security when travelling. Since I don't use it for travel, I just stick a nail in the hole and it prevents the door from opening if the dog somehow gets through the latches. The clasps feel strong and easy to use and I've had no issues with them not holding. The dog chewed the plastic along the bottom inside edge, but this did not affect the function of the cage. So far the cell has worked very well. My dog weighs just over 30 pounds and fits comfortably. He can stand and turn around and seems quite content when he realizes he's locked in a box for a while. Now he sleeps in a cage all night, no food thank god. Except for an insignificant hole at the top, the box met all my expectations. I don't recommend it for travel but for home use it works well, seems sturdy and my dog seems to like it.
