Review on CIPA 10800 Custom Towing Mirror πŸ‘₯ - Pair for Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac by Ben Alvarez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits with adjustment

A pair of CIPA #10800 towing mirrors fit the mirrors on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 with a chrome addition on the back of the mirror. I did a setup by removing the wedge piece from the body of each tow mirror as the tow mirrors would not snap onto the chrome base with the wedge pieces inserted. I placed a small round felt furniture pad under the plastic tip of the screw to secure the screw handle and protect the chrome backing of the car mirror. I've driven them over 100 freeway miles so far and they work great! They no longer wobble or vibrate like car mirrors and improve visibility behind my closed trailer. While they can sometimes be removed and reinstalled, I plan on leaving mine in place to get used to their extra outward extension since they add about 6 inches of additional noticeable width on each side. Be careful where and how you park; they really stand out. They don't look that great from the back, but they're efficient and practical, and they look pretty decent from the front. I gave the mirrors a 4 star rating because I find them a bit overpriced. Less than $40 would be a lot better for molded plastic. However on the internet they looked like they would fit, I bought them, they fit, they work so I will keep them and recommend them. Install them in fairly warm weather so they have some flexibility and won't crack or split because they're too stiff from the cold.
