I have had competitor mirrors installed for the past two years.

I have been installing competitor mirrors for the last two years until I crashed one of them. They worked well and I figured the wing mirror vibration was just a factor in living with extended units. Thought I'd buy the same as this one. To my pleasant surprise, they're a lot easier to install (slip and tighten rather than snap the old ones on), they're sturdier, hardly shake the rear view, and they can be removed in just a minute if I won't be lugging them for a while.

Pros
  • One year test
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

AMAZING FIT AND LOOK

Last year I bought my first truck, a 2002 GMC 1500 HD. It was stored in a garage and was 9/10 immaculate when I bought it as second owner. I'm trying to keep it looking clean and brand new even though it's a desert car. I needed tow mirrors to tow my 32 foot toy truck and didn't want anything cheesy, crappy, or otherwise crappy looking on my beautiful truck. These mirrors are exactly what I was looking for. They fit perfectly and look clean. Since the desert destroys EVERYTHING I won't put them

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Cheap and doesn't fit

Well I guess you get what you pay for. They aren't that expensive and are exactly what I had on my truck before when the driver's side flew off the freeway and was lost forever. I assumed I hadn't tightened it enough, but after receiving these replacement parts you will see from the photos that they don't fit well enough to handle highway speeds, wind and vibration. There's a piece of plastic that's supposed to fit in, but when I use it I can't put these mirrors on at all, so I had to keep them

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Crumpled

Bought these for my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 SLT.

Bought these for my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 1500 SLT Extended Cab. I have a 26 foot RV that I couldn't see behind me. It was very dangerous to change lanes on the Autobahn. By putting them on I could see the lane of traffic next to me and could also see the cars right behind my trailer. I've definitely felt less stressed when changing lanes and knowing if someone is behind me or not. The mirrors fit very snugly and were very strong and reliable. My only complaint was that you actually have toโ€ฆ

very good but a few things

installed on a 2005 GMC Yukon. The function is very good. I had to go back and recheck that the extended mirror was actually adjustable. Yes, just firmly move the glass up, down, left and right as if two thumbs tight, but very satisfied after adjusting. However, when it was removed, the friction left black scratch marks on the mirror paint. from the vibration of the wind. Easily removed with car wax or WD40. but a novice car driver would panic. For future reference I will be using painter'sโ€ฆ

Very happy! Almost invisible in the age of towing mirrors

Installed on my 2003 Tahoe. I am happy with the fit and the look. I left out the knobs because the mirrors don't move and won't move anywhere as they fit snugly. I don't have painted or chromed mirrors so fitment may vary. There's only one thing I can say that I don't like. It may be my fault for leaving the pens behind, but the whistle is there. It's not loud or uncomfortable, but I can hear the air whipping around something as I move. Only with the window down, so long-distance journeys andโ€ฆ

Fits with adjustment

A pair of CIPA #10800 towing mirrors fit the mirrors on my 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71 with a chrome addition on the back of the mirror. I did a setup by removing the wedge piece from the body of each tow mirror as the tow mirrors would not snap onto the chrome base with the wedge pieces inserted. I placed a small round felt furniture pad under the plastic tip of the screw to secure the screw handle and protect the chrome backing of the car mirror. I've driven them over 100 freeway miles soโ€ฆ
