Very disappointed. They are by no means difficult. My husband installed 8 floating shelves 12"D x 1-1/2"H x 3-4'L in our newly renovated kitchen using these brackets and ALL the shelves hang on them with no utensils. Now we need to add brackets to support the shelves, so what's the point of these floating shelf brackets? The brackets are set at different distances, all tucked into the cleats, and yet they all sag forward. I would return them if they didn't have all the hinges and holes in the wall and shelves. What a hassle and a waste of our time and money. The only benefit of the brackets is that the shelf can be easily assembled and disassembled, but not after we've installed additional support brackets. I regret this purchase.
