Exactly as described. Hot lubricant does no harm. I got it for leftover bacon grease. The only surprise for me was its small size. It's only 3 inches tall (no top) and about 2-1/2 inches wide. Not bad if you don't cook much, but sometimes I have a lot more bacon fat left over before using it, so I'd prefer something larger, at least the size of a 14.5-ounce can of corn. . That's about half the size of the jar. When you put it in the fridge the lid seems to shrink a little making it very easy to remove. Be careful when picking it up. The concept for this is great. I love that I can easily find my "red hog" for bacon. If they made it about 3 times bigger I would replace this one.
