25-55mbs ambitious estimate. I'm seeing an average speed of 10-18MB for files larger than 500MB. For large JPEG clusters or documents, the writing speed is 25-35MB even using the USB-C port, which is faster than USB 3.0. Similar Sandisk Extreme USBC flash drives deliver over 90MB of write speed, but cost four times the price per gigabyte. Memory. You can use it as a working 1080p AVCHD external drive, but for 4k and files that need more than 35MB read/write I'd say no or be warned. Real-time playback in FCP and Adobe Premiere stutters. Good replacement drive. Not very suitable for the media.
