Review on Jensen CD 475 Portable Stereo Player by Young Rich

Purchased elsewhere. Doesn't play CD. the selector moves in very small steps between off, CD, function (auxiliary input), AM and FM. Tried to move the switch back and forth in as small increments as possible - nothing for the CD. The front LED didn't even light up. The radio has no display, neither analogue nor digital. I should have seen that in the pictures before I bought it. VHF reception only worked if you held the antenna or were very close to the device, otherwise noise. It's hard to work when you can't move away from the radio. My 80's mono radio (single speaker) gets good reception in the same area, but I wanted something with an extra jack and the CD function was just a bonus (if it worked at all). The Jensen antenna is shorter and almost unusable. Thought about leaving it anyway as maybe the main use is for the auxiliary jack but as the FM radio doesn't work well and the CD doesn't work at all it's back. Yes, that's the low end of the range of what I wanted for this area (unprotected and dusty), but it should still work. I'll look around for another brand with a cheap unit, or maybe I'll find something used.
