To feel as comfortable as possible in it, I recommend ordering one size up. The seams are strong, the neck seam is taped for durability and comfort. The fabric is soft and the zip is lined with grosgrain ribbon to keep the very short zip from catching in children's hair or under a shirt. Pockets are in the front seam (A-line), not the side seams, and are small hand pockets (one side in the same shaggy fabric, other side in lighter jersey) and taped together to keep them from twisting. and make the sweater/jacket sloppy.
