I'm a big fan of soft boiled eggs and these egg cups make it easy to boil eggs. Since the eggshell is made of silicone, it is malleable. When working with a very hot egg to open it, I can hold the egg firmly in the egg holder with one hand without burning my fingers. This frees my other hand to shake out the contents of the eggshell. Many reviewers commented that they love this product for its appeal to children, which I appreciate as I have four grandchildren and will be sharing this product with them. However, I would like to point out that even if you don't have children to share, this product is excellent! The bright colors of the egg coasters give the dishes a cheerful touch. I'm a big fan of this product.
