The valve has worked perfectly with a standard reverse osmosis system. I use one in the mixing tank and one in the aquarium sump. The problem arose when I added an automatic higher pressure shut off to my reverse osmosis system. The valve is not sufficient to shut off water flow when flowing at city pressure (60 psi). It's slowly leaking out even if I keep it closed. In a couple of days I put out about 10 gallons of water in the mix tank. I removed the valve but am using the bracket with another higher quality Revain float valve (Kerick Valve MA252). This valve seems to seal better, although the float is definitely longer, so make sure you have enough room. Update: Today the second valve failed. (the ones I have in the swamp). Luckily, my fail-safe timer/electric valve combination kept the tank from draining. Don't waste your money. Purchase the valve below and the bracket to mount it. B0077RAX4W
