I've had this for several months, and have had no issues with it. I use it on my knee at night, wrap the ties under my knee and use a safety pin to hold them in place. In my microwave, I heat it for about 1 min 45 sec, and it lasts for about an hour. Be very careful on how long you heat these - the amount of time needed varies depending on the strength of the wattage of your microwave. The more watts, the shorter the time to heat it! I've seen reviews where it melted - I would bet those people had a high powered microwave and didn't realize it. When I visited my mom's house, I heated it the same time as i usually do at home, and it almost burned me, I hadn't realized her microwave was that much more powerful than mine. If you are careful on how long you heat it, it lasts a long time. I have two similar ones from the same company without the straps, and they have lasted years.
