As a long time needle felter I needed a replacement for a worn foam mat for my felting projects. I love this wool needle felt pillow - the perfect portable size for needle felting on the go! Pros: 1. Small but not too small - works for most felting projects2. Portable - don't worry about it breaking when you put it in your purse or school bag3. Rugged - withstands tens of thousands of needle sticks4. The needles will not catch/tear the wool rug5. Needle felting projects are captured quickly, allowing you to speed up the felting process6. Minimal shedding of fibers on the mat Cons: 1. A small amount of wool will get caught in the carpet as they are both fibrous materials - this is easily remedied by turning the product frequently and using smaller pin pricks - the fibers of the Products can be removed with a short-toothed comb or your fingers. Tends to warp easily on many projects - this is easily fixed by tossing the mat back and forth from time to time to get it back into shape.
