These picks are not 100% carbon fiber. I suspect they are made from a thin layer of real carbon fiber over fiberglass. I came to this conclusion by separating the layers and checking the electrical resistance of each material since carbon conducts electricity but fiberglass does not. Of course, the black outer layer had very low resistance, and the lighter inner layers were electrically insulating, confirming my suspicion that these gaskets weren't 100% carbon fiber.
