When I first got this scale and stepped on it a few times I got a completely "different" weight and thought I bought a lemon. However. After moving the scale to a different spot in the room, after a few tries I got my correct weight (which stayed the same) and the problem was solved! Bottom line: Not all bathroom tiles are perfectly flat (especially in older homes). And for this scale to work accurately, it must be 100% flush with the floor. FYI: This also applies to old parquet floors. Here's an easy way to check. Place the scale in the right place. Using one of your fingers, press firmly on each of the top "4 corners" of the scale. IF your scale wobbles (even a little in ANY corner) it is not level with the floor and needs to be reset/retested. After fixing it I found it to work great and am very happy with my purchase. I hope this review was helpful.
