I'll try to keep this review short. We never fixed the dryer. I spent a little time on Google and YouTube and we quickly diagnosed the problem as a heating element. When we bought the part we didn't know what makes a good heating element. We knew we wanted to keep costs down. We found this kit that not only includes one item but also multiple switches for a reasonable price. When it came time to make some repairs, we checked the old heating element with a multimeter. It was still good! But upon testing the switches, we found that one of them was not passing current. Of course I'm glad I bought this kit with switches. I went ahead and replaced everything and reassembled the dryer. Total repair time was a few hours and the dryer works better than before!
