The cover is a bit soft and the pages are lightly textured, but overall this is a good sketchbook. A little thin at 192 pages, but that's okay. I would not recommend this sketchbook for markers or other wet environments as it spreads quite a bit on the back. Ink pens, pencils, crayons, charcoal/graphite and pastels work great.
