I have severe pain and numbness in my legs due to neuropathy and this thing has worked better than anything I've tried before. I have practically stopped taking gabapentin and significantly reduced the pain medication. If my legs keep me up at night, I try vibrating them first and that usually works. It has some issues, most of which I read in reviews before I bought it and would like to comment on.1. He runs away with everything. I've tried putting a bath mat underneath and whatever rubber material is supposed to keep the mats in place, it still moves a bit. If you press it against something to keep it steady, it also vibrates, making it a lot louder. It won't fly away from you if you put something underneath it, but you will chase it if you try to use it on a bare floor.2. It's pretty loud. People staying in a few rooms didn't notice this at night, but it would most likely wake up someone in the room. It can irritate my knees and shins. It vibrates your whole leg quite a bit and my knees are still sensitive. The first or second time I used it, my leg bones hurt the next day, like deep internal bone pain. I think I got used to it or just backed off enough because it didn't happen again. I use it less on the right leg, that knee is worse and the foot is better. If you have structural problems, this can complicate them.4. The remote does nothing but turn it on and off. There are other buttons, but they don't work. I haven't played with the buttons on the device yet, the auto cycle works fine for me.5. I didn't feel any warmth from him. I don't think it should be hot, that doesn't mean infrared. I've seen several reviews mentioning that the heating doesn't work. Understand reading people.6. It's bulky and heavy. Package weight 12 pounds. The box shows people using it on other body parts that need lifting and I'm not sure how that would work. This is a very hard plastic, I would not put it on a soft cloth. The main thing I would change if I could would be to make the surface softer, like rubber nubs. It has many issues that can be annoying but I think it's worth it. It works well enough to pose some inconveniences. Edit: October '14 - I downgraded it to one star because mine was already broken. I don't remember dropping it or doing anything rough with it, but a piece broke off the inside and it's no longer working properly. Then I hear something rattling. It's also gotten a lot louder. Haven't contacted the company yet to see if they will do anything but wanted it shut down. I miss you, my legs are giving me trouble again.
