I love these gloves. The fit is comfortable and tactile. The fingers are narrow so you can really feel and be precise. You can even use the keyboard with minimal bugs. Thick and hard on knuckles, palms and backs of fingers to second knuckle. thin and breathable on the sides of the fingers and the back of the hand. The part on the middle finger side sits perfectly on the sharp connection between the trigger guard and the receiver. They are excellent heat barriers too, I didn't even feel the heat coming out of the barrel after 60 shots from the .556. I'm not in the military but I expect they won't be successful overseas, they just can't handle that kind of abuse. They might be good for general purpose and US based training or something like that. The only possible suggestion is that it could be 3/4" longer to provide some wrist protection, but that's just a preference.
