I installed the rear bumper step first and it was very easy to install using the standard factory truck frame holes. I then installed a side step on the driver's side and had to drill holes in the truck body frame and modify the bed cross brace a bit to make the step fit. Overall I'm very happy with both tiers, but be warned that the side tier is a bit more difficult to install and requires more work and patience.
